Board approves bids on intersection projects
Two intersection improvement projects have the go-ahead to start construction in Henry County.
The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted recently to accept construction bids on intersection improvement projects in two locations: Old Jackson Road at South Bethany Road, and Mill Road at Hwy. 81.
The former was awarded to Pittman Construction Company for $802,272.48 and the latter went to McCoy Grading at $956,518.50. Both are SPLOST projects. The board also approved the transfer of $200,000 from the account for the Industrial Pkwy./Hwy. 20 project since that work will be done by the Georgia Department of Transportation. That money will be applied to the Mill Road/Hwy. 81 project.
Both bids were approved unanimously.
