In the second major grant announcement of fiscal year 2015, the National Endowment for the Arts will make a $25,000 award to the city of Atlanta to support ELEVATE, a public art exhibition program in Downtown Atlanta. The NEA will make 1,023 awards totaling $74.3 million nationwide in this funding round.

ELEVATE examines the power of public art to drive vibrancy, development and connectivity for downtown communities. ELEVATE commissions artists, locally, nationally and internationally, to present large scale artworks in public spaces. Through ELEVATE, audiences are exposed to visual, performance, digital and installation artworks in easily accessible public venues.
