Classes are held on 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday evenings beginning April 29 at the Herbert T. Jenkins Atlanta Police Academy, 180 Southside Industrial Parkway.

Additionally, potential candidates should meet several requirements including residing in the metropolitan Atlanta area, be at least 21 years-old, and have no felony or misdemeanor convictions within one year of application. A standard background check is also required.
