Atlanta's City Council voted Monday to approve more than $99,000 in claims against the city for property damages and bodily injuries from automobile accidents and other mishaps. The 20 claims ranged from $731 for property damage alleged to have been caused by a storm grate last October in west Atlanta to $20,000 in damage from a falling tree last August near Bobby Jones Golf Course. More than a dozen claims were rejected, including several related to parking citations, towing, potholes, open water meters and road defects.
