Assisted living community in Gwinnett fails food inspection report

The food service of an assisted living community in Gwinnett failed a routine health inspection this week after an official noticed toxic substances stored above straws, cups and food items.
Brookdale Buford, which also offers Alzheimer’s care for seniors, received a failing score of 60 on Thursday.
The report stated that food equipment was not cleaned properly and that there was cross-contamination between raw fish and bread.
The executive director of Brookdale Buford declined to comment to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Update: The location passed a follow-up inspection on October 20 with a perfect score of 100. Read the full report here.
