The Atlanta school board approved settlements with six bus drivers who filed sex discrimination complaints against the district with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The female bus drivers alleged the district violated their civil rights when the district honored a request for male-only bus drivers for a 2011 field trip. The terms of the settlement were confidential, and an attorney for the bus drivers would not comment on the case. APS spokesman Keith Bromery said steps have been taken to preclude similar situations.
