The Atlanta Police Department has partnered with Nextdoor, a private social network for neighborhoods to provide important safety information and tips to Atlanta citizens.
With this free private social network, Atlanta residents will be able to create private neighborhood websites to share community information including events, activities, local services and lost pets.
Crime Prevention Inspectors from each of Atlanta’s 6 zones will post regular updates on their network. APD is only able to access their posts and can only view responses to the information they post. Communicating with the Department is completely voluntary.
