Volunteers will help plant 30 trees, including large over-story and native under-story trees, as part of Alpharetta’s Arbor Day event on Saturday, March 16.

The city’s Natural Resources Commission will host the event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cogburn Road Park, 12825 Cogburn Road.

Volunteers are asked to wear appropriate clothing, including closed-toe shoes. Sign-in will be at 10 a.m. near the playground. Refreshments, tools and gloves will be provided. Educational activity booths for children also will be offered.

In the event of significant rain, the planting will be rescheduled, officials said.
