Cobb County saw hours-long traffic delays Wednesday night at and around I-75, following a 10-mile chase southbound down the interstate that, according to a Georgia State Patrol spokesman, ended with a wounded trooper and a suspect dead.

All lanes of 75 southbound in Cobb are now clear, Marietta police said, six and a half hours after the incident.

Traffic remained clogged well past rush hour on 75 southbound, about a mile north of Delk Road, after police blocked off the interstate at South Marietta Parkway, diverting traffic onto that road.

According to Marietta police, one 75 southbound lane reopened at about 6:55 p.m. By 10:30, all lanes reopened.
