Two Gwinnett County parks will get new scoreboards under agreements approved by the Board of Commissioners last week.

Commissioners approved an agreement with the Lanier Athletic Association, which will install and maintain scoreboards at the football/multipurpose field at E.E. Robinson Park in Sugar Hill. The association also will maintain the existing scoreboards at the baseball/softball complex. The new scoreboard is expected to cost $15,713.

Commissioners also approved an agreement with the Norcross Youth Athletic Association to install and maintain a new scoreboard at the Cemetery Field Park football/multipurpose field. The work is expected to cost about $5,500

Both associations will install the scoreboards at no cost to the county. They plan sell advertising on the scoreboards to help cover the cost.
