Fulton County workers could soon join the ranks of those who see their paychecks increasing as part of the fight for $15.
Wednesday, commissioners will consider a proposal that would increase salaries to a so-called living wage of $31,000 a year — or $14.90 an hour. More than 500 Fulton County workers would be affected.
If passed, the wage increase would be phased in over five years. Others who make more than $31,000 might also see their salaries rise.
About 10 percent of Fulton County employees now make less than $31,000 annually.
