It’s not every day that an ex-Guv testifies in court, so I dropped by the APS cheating trial Monday to see what Sonny Perdue had to say.

The trip was worth my while — and not just for Perdue’s testimony. The real highlight was watching Judge Jerry Baxter walk back an order he issued last week that trampled all over the First Amendment. The icing on that cake was Baxter berating one defense attorney as a “peacock” and a “grand-stander” for challenging him in conjunction with the same ill-considered order.
