Community health clinics will open at two Atlanta elementary schools this summer.
Outside groups will run the new clinics at Dobbs and Miles elementary schools. The clinics are scheduled to open in time for the first day of school.
A third elementary school, Whitefoord Elementary, has had a health clinic for decades.
The new clinics will accept Georgia Better Health Care, Medicaid, Peach Care and private insurance and determine fees on a sliding scale.
The new clinics’ initial costs are supported by a $400,000 grant from the Jesse Parker Williams Foundation.
