Fulton Schools receive about $3.2 million in state grants for literacy and professional development

The Georgia Department of Education has given Fulton County Schools almost $3.2 million in grants to promote literacy and professional development. Nine elementary, middle and high schools will receive funds from the Striving Reader Comprehensive Literacy Grant. Fourteen Fulton high schools have received nearly $18,000 in grants for the training of teachers at 2013 Advanced Placement Summer Institutes.
