Fulton County schools’ top employees will be honored at the district’s annual recognition luncheon.

Nearly 1,000 employees, business partners and guests will gather to pay tribute to each school's and administrative building's employees of the year. The program takes place Nov. 13 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

Tim Duncan, formerly of Chattahoochee High School, will be recognized as the district’s Principal of the Year, and Jameda Owens from Bear Creek Middle School will be honored as Fulton schools’ 2015 Teacher of the Year.

Pedro Gacutan, school technology specialist at Campbell Elementary School, will be honored as the Overall School Professional of the Year, and Samuel Rickett of North Maintenance will be honored as the Overall Support Professional of the Year.

The luncheon is sponsored by the Fulton Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides financial support to the Fulton school system.

Fulton is the fourth-largest school system in Georgia, with approximately 96,000 students, who attend 100 schools.
