Parents interested in enrolling their child in a metro Atlanta charter school can learn about dozens of options at a Saturday event.

The first Metro Atlanta Charter School Expo will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at Ivy Preparatory Academy, 1807 Memorial Drive S.E. in Atlanta.

Representatives from more than 25 charter schools will be in attendance to speak with families about charter school options for the coming school year.

The event is geared toward families with students that currently attend Atlanta, Clayton, Fulton and DeKalb school districts.

It is organized by the nonprofit Georgia Charter Schools Association and GeorgiaCan.

“This is a great opportunity to connect families directly to schools and empower them with the tools to choose the best public charter school for their children,” said RaShaun Holliman, the association’s vice president of policy and advocacy, in a written statement.
