Following tumbling sales, Sears plans to speed up its slated store closures and will shutter two Kmarts and one Sears in Georgia, by April, and 50 stores total this year, according to Business Insider.
The Sears and Auto Center at Mount Berry Mall in Rome will close in March, while Kmart locations in both Milledgeville and Dublin will close in April, according to BI, citing Consumerist.
Sears' sales dropped 6.9 percent at stores open at least a year in the most recent quarter, according to BI, and sales fell 7.2 percent at the Sears-owned Kmart.
But Sears and Kmart aren't the only major chains shutting down stores in Georgia
Wal-Mart shuttered seven stores in the state Jan. 28 and the Macy's at North DeKalb Mall will be one of the 36 stores the company with close this spring.
