Florida teen Caleb Farrell watched the Jacksonville Jaguars defeat the Miami Dolphins on Sunday -- and the occasion was extra-special because he is cancer-free.
Farrell, 16, who played football at St. Augustine High School, was diagnosed with anaplastic ependymoma after falling ill at a party in October, Today.com reports. "It was the next to last game, and we had a party here at the house," Farrell's mother, Patricia, said. "Caleb came in and he took me aside and said, 'Mom, I have a severe headache. I think I got hit at the game.' So he went to bed and, three days later, he's still in bed."
Farrell underwent radiation treatments for months, and with help from The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation -- a cancer foundation established by NFL coach Tom Coughlin -- the family was able to pay their bills, Today reports. Farrell and his family attended the Jaguars-Dolphins game along with 35 other childhood cancer patients, according to Today.
