Nearly 20 years ago, Gwinnett County overtook DeKalb County to become the biggest school system in the state, and its growth has hardly slowed.

This year, Gwinnett is expecting nearly 2,800 new students across all grades. If that many students were in one high school, it would be among Georgia's 10 largest.
