Atlanta police are searching for a man they say sexually assaulted a woman inside her apartment in northwest Atlanta.

The woman had just dropped off her child at the bus stop earlier this month when she walked back to her apartment and found the man waiting on her, according to a police report.

The man then rushed toward the victim and began kicking her in the head, police said. The man allegedly dragged her to the ground, punched her in the face and choked her.

The man then began sexually assaulting the woman, who fought back, police said. The man then jumped off her balcony.

Another man came to the woman’s rescue after she ran out of her apartment naked calling for help.

The woman had bruises on her legs, arms and face. She was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she was treated.
