Police are searching for five men accused of carjacking a woman at gunpoint while visiting a friend at the Mezzo apartment complex in Buckhead.
The men, in a black sedan, pulled up beside the woman’s newer model BMW with guns drawn Oct. 20 in a parking deck on Peachtree Road, police told Channel 2 Action News.
Video shows the 26-year-old woman standing as two of the men pointed their guns at her while another man from the group rummaged through her car.
Police said the men also committed another crime that night.
Officers are trying to pull fingerprints from the BMW, Channel 2 reported.
The Mezzo building owner sent Channel 2 the following statement:
“The safety and security of our residents is our top priority. After receiving information from the authorities, we informed our residents that an incident had occurred on level P3, a commercial parking area, and asked them to be on alert for suspicious activity.”
