A Temple man faces three felonies after dozens of images of child pornography were found on his cellphone earlier this week, authorities said.

Dustin Shane Jones, 29, was arrested Wednesday after deputies received a tip that he was downloading images of girls performing explicit acts from inside his home, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for his home off Amy Boulevard and seized his electronic devices, the release said.

Jones’ cellphone was among those devices, and he allegedly admitted to authorities that he used an app on his phone to download the child porn. The name of the app was not provided.

He was charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of children. Investigators are still searching his other devices, and “more charges are expected to follow,” the release said.

Jones was denied bond during his first court appearance Thursday, so he remains in the Carroll County Jail.
