Pedestrian killed crossing southwest Atlanta road

A 49-year-old man was struck by an SUV and killed while attempting to cross a southwest intersection Monday night in Atlanta, police reported.

Fulton County detective Melissa Parker said a white SUV traveling east on Cascade Road hit the man as he tried to cross Cascade from Kimberly Road at about 7:15 p.m. He was not within the crosswalk, she said.
