Police are investigating after two men broke into a home, tied up those who live there and ransacked the place while looking for money.

The home invasion happened in the 2500 block of Duluth Highway, Gwinnett County police said.

The alleged invaders tied up the residents and “ransacked the residence looking for money they believed the residents had,” police said. They said the residents were assaulted, including one who had a minor stab wound.

“The suspects left after they didn’t find anything and the residents went back to bed,” police said. According to investigators, the victims did not say why they chose to return to bed after the incident.

A nurse at a hospital reported the incident to police the next day when one of the victims went in for treatment about 12:30 p.m., police said.
