More than two weeks after four people pulled him from his SUV, beat him, stole his vehicle and shot him just feet away from his Atlanta home, a father of six has died.
Isreal Nagoros, 34, died Saturday, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Nagoros planned to stay in with family and watch a soccer game on the night of March 4. But about 9:30 p.m., he stepped out to grab snacks for the kids.
“And he’s never coming back,” wife Luz Reyes told Channel 2.
That’s because on his way home, Nagoros was stopped by four carjackers, pulled from his GMC Envoy, beat and shot twice in the back and two more times in the stomach near the intersection of Forrest Park Road and Forrest Drive in southeast Atlanta.
Nagoros only had $5 on him, Reyes said.
The robbers damaged and ditched the SUV and racked up charges on the family’s credit card.
No one has been arrested.
“We’ve never done anything wrong in this country,” Reyes told Channel 2. “We work so hard. We have six kids.”
Reyes said the family may have to move and they need to find the money to send their patriarch’s body to Mexico.
“It’s not fair for my kids,” Reyes said. “It’s not.”
