A woman was sexually assaulted while running on the Greenway in Forsyth County on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The woman was jogging near McFarland Parkway when a man, who was described as in his mid-30s, came up to her and inappropriately touched her, sheriff’s office Cpl. Doug Rainwater confirmed to AJC.com.

The woman ran to her vehicle and immediately called 911, Rainwater confirmed. Deputies searched for the man but couldn’t find him.

The man was wearing a blue or grey T-shirt and black or navy pants with tennis shoes, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Forsyth County officials said they will increase their bike patrols along the Greenway in light of the incident. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 770-781-2222.
