After a Jet Ski exploded at the Holiday Marina at Lake Lanier on Wednesday, a rider is now in stable condition and the incident has been ruled an accident.

Witnesses told the Hall County Fire Services that a Jet Ski exploded late Wednesday evening, throwing its rider, a 52-year-old man, into the water. His name was not released.

The man was taken to the Gwinnett Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries., Hall County fire spokesman Zachary Brackett said in a news release. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities later found the Jet Ski submerged near the docks. Investigators concluded on Friday that the explosion was accidental, Brackett said.
