Peaceful protests turned chaotic in Atlanta on Friday night, leading to an outcry from political leaders, activists and the community alike with the city spending Saturday focused on dealing with the aftermath of shattered glass and frayed nerves.

Ernest Greer, co-president of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, writes in a guest column that "America is losing its most precious resource, its heart. Can we find it in time to save ourselves? Or is it simply just too late?"

Former Mayor Andrew Young writes in a guest column of the protests amid the coronavirus pandemic, "Like everyone else, I wanted to get angry over the deaths of too many of my younger brethren. ... But we have also lost more than 100,000 of our citizens to an unseen, viral enemy."
