Investigators aren’t sure who was growing the marijuana crop found this week in Coweta County. But 220 plants were seized after being spotted from the air, the sheriff’s office said.
The Governor’s Task Force and the Coweta Crime Suppression Unit joined forces Wednesday, when the plants were located off Bill Cline Road, according to Lt. Col. Jimmy Yarbrough with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.
A marijuana plant that reaches maturity is worth around $2,000, making the value of the seized plants $440,000, according to the GBI.
No arrests have been made, Yarbrough said.
