To help Norcross residents impacted by COVID-19, the city is investing American Rescue Plan Act funding in an ARPA Nonprofit Grant Program.

The purpose of the program is “to address public health and economic challenges caused by the pandemic, including those that have contributed to the unequal impact of the pandemic in Norcross’ Disproportionately Impacted Communities and Qualified Census Tracts.”

Applicants for the funding must serve residents of Norcross, been in operation on or before January 1, 2020, possess a 501(c)3 designation from the Internal Revenue Service, and be in good standing as a nonprofit in the State of Georgia.

Grants can be used for food programs, rent, mortgage and utility aid, eviction protection, support of unhoused individuals and other household assistance. Grants may also be used for job training assistance, childcare and other healthy childhood environments in qualified census tracts.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10. Questions about the grant may be sent to ARPANonProfitGrant@norcrossga.net.
