Summer is fast approaching. To help you prepare for your child's summer vacation, we've compiled a list of youth sports leagues and camps in the Atlanta area currently accepting registration.
Atlanta Silverbacks Summer Camp

The Atlanta Silverbacks are offering kids a multisport summer camp that kicks off May 31 and continues for 10 weeks. Your child can participate in soccer, flag football, kickball, dodgeball, relay races and more from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. The camp is open to ages 5 – 13. The camp fee is $170 per week, which includes camp T-shirt, snacks and field trip (the Treetop field trip is an additional $5).
Youth Summer Baseball, T-ball Instructional Program

If baseball or T-ball is your child's favorite sport, they won't want to miss this instructional program starting June 4. The program continues Saturdays for six weeks. The jersey, hat, bat and batting helmet are provided. Parents are responsible for providing a baseball glove, pants or shorts, and sneakers or cleats. Registration is open to boys and girls ages 3 – 6. The fee is $119 if you pay by March 28. Registration deadline is April 25.

Youth Summer Basketball League

Kids ages 4-12 can learn the essentials of basketball starting June 4. The basketball league plays each Saturday for six weeks. The jersey and basketball are provided. Parents are responsible for providing sweatpants or shorts, and rubber soled sneakers. Registration is open to boys and girls. The fee is $119 if payment is received by March 28. The registration deadline is April 25.

Youth Summer Soccer League

If your child idolizes David Beckham, he or she can hone their skills at a youth soccer league starting June 4. The league plays Saturdays for six weeks. The jersey and practice ball are provided. Parents are responsible for providing sweatpants or shorts, sneakers or rubber soled cleats and shin guards. Registration is open to boys and girls ages 3 – 8. The fee is $119 if payment is received by March 28. The registration deadline is April 25.

Youth Summer Flag Football League

A kids' flag football league starts June 7 in Douglasville. Children participate for seven weeks, playing on Tuesdays. The jersey, flag belt and practice football are provided. Parents are responsible for providing sweatpants or shorts, sneakers or rubber soled cleats, and a mouth guard. Registration is open to boys and girls ages 4-14. The program fee is $120 if you pay by March 28. The registration deadline is May 13.

The Nickajack Elementary School in Smyrna hosts a wide range of summer sports programs, including baseball, flag football, soccer and multi-sport day camp from June 4 to mid-July. East Cobb Baseball Academic Showcase

Now is the time to register for the East Cobb Baseball Showcase taking place June 13-14. Student athletes must have a 3.0 GPA or 85 percent overall grade to register for the showcase.
The showcase is a two-day event. The first day consists of check-in, stretching, 60-yard time, throwing, infield and outfield evaluation, hitting, and all pitchers. Teams scrimmage on the second day. Pitchers will be evaluated during scrimmage games.
