Wednesday, August 5 - National Oyster Day (Midtown)
STK Atlanta and The Oceanaire Seafood Room in the evening. To honor National Oyster Day, STK Atlanta is offering a complimentary amuse-bouche of fresh water oysters paired with a drink. Wednesday, August 5 - Wednesday Winer Dinner tastings (Decatur)
Wahoo! Grill in the evening. Join Wahoo! Grill for food and wine tasting. Featured wines will be fruity and from Mediterranean Spain, such as Altes Garnatxa Blanc, Mas Doix Les Crestes and Bodegas Vetus Flor De Vetus 2012. Tickets are $25 per person and includes up to four wines and a food pairing. Extend your evening and take 20 percent off your bill plus an additional discount on wines.

Thursday, August 6 - National Root Beer Float Day (Buckhead)
Shake Shack all day. Raise a fizzy glass in honor of National Root Beer Float Day at Shake Shack. The restaurant is putting an all-natural twist on the classic beverage, starting with draught root beer from Abita Brewing Company and toppping with Shake Shack's hand-spun frozen custard.

Thursday, August 6 - Brews, Brims & Beats (Cabbagetown Reynoldstown)

Argosy at 8 p.m. The duo MikeFlo and Ale Sharpton are celebrating music, beer and fashion at Brigantine Beer Parlor and Recreation Hall. Together they will provide a live DJ set, hand select craft brews and pour signature cocktails. Guests are required to wear a hat that expresses their individuality. Tickets are $10 and include two drink tickets.

Friday, August 7 - International Beer Day (Midtown)
Varuni Napoli all day. To celebrate International Beer Day, Orpheus Brewing is teaming up with Varuni Napoli for beer and pizza. With any Orpheus beer purchase, you'll receive a free Orpheus pint glass, while supplies last, to pair with the specialty pizza of the day. Check out these other beer events here.

Saturday, August 8 - Holy Friggin' Hot Fest (Westside)
Bone Lick BBQ at 12 p.m. Celebrating three years in Georgia, Bone Lick BBQ's owner and pitmaster Mike LaSage is hosting Holy Friggin' Hot Fest, an event that includes a hotdog eating contest, a SirHOTcha eating, a hot sauce competition, hot wing specials, music and games. Guests 21 years and up who like Bone Lick BBQ on Facebook and check-in at the event upon arrival will receive a complimentary draft beer and rib between 2 and 4 p.m. Cold beers, whiskey, cocktails and other alcoholic beverages are also available on the menu to cool off from the heat. Saturday, August 8 - Tomatofeast (Virginia Highland)
La Tavola all day. Catch the final day of chef Justin Jordan's tomato-centric menu during its prime harvest season. Highlights include tomato-cured lonza with pickled squash and cherry tomato, lasagnette with heirloom tomato, burrata and tomato conserva and roasted whole fish in aqua pazza.

Sunday, August 9- Weekend Brunch (Inman Park)

Monday, August 10 - Hail to the V panel discussion (Buckhead)
Gypsy Kitchen at 2 p.m. Hear from five female chefs and restaurant workers as well as moderator Mara Davis of Atlanta Eats about the challenges facing women in the restaurant industry and what energizes them. The event, hosted by the hospitality networking group ATL industree, allows for Atlanta food and beverage workers to connect and share stories, and listen to candid stories from some of Atlanta's most accomplished women. Tickets are $10-$40 in advance and include all food and beverages. For every ticket sold, $5 will be donated to The Farmer Fund, a nonprofit that helps support metro Atlanta farmers who face hardships due to natural disasters.

Tuesday, August 11 - Hired Guns series event (Glenwood Park)
Gunshow at 6 p.m. Chef Kevin Gillespi is hosting chef JJ Johnson to showcase his culinary mix of Caribbean influence and West African flavor as part of the Hired Guns series. Menu items include little neck clams with white hominy stew, Linguiça sausage and cilantro and crispy porgy, coconut corn mash, strawberry curry and lychee. Guests can make reservations by calling 404-380-1886

Tuesday, August 11 - Pickling 101 (Dunwoody)
Vino Venue at 7 p.m. Guests who attend Portfino chef Matt Marcus' introductory pickling class will learn how to preserve foods, including melon, baby carrots, corn, radish, blueberries, cucumbers, rhubarb and kohlrabi and create a flavorful brine. The class will include light appetizers and wine to enjoy while pickling. A portion of proceeds will benefit Slow Food Atlanta.

Wednesday, August 12 -Wine Tasting Wednesday (Woodruff Arts Center)
Table 1280 at 5:30 p.m. As part of the series, guests will receive 10 wine tastes for $15.
