Atlanta-based Streamline Health Solutions, a provider of financial management software for physicians and health care companies, said it will acquire a West Coast health care software maker.

Streamline did not say how much it is paying for Carlesbad, Calif.-based CentraMed, also a provider cost and spend management software used by health care groups. CentraMed has more than a dozen clients on the West Coast and in the Southeast.

Streamline specializes in software that helps hospitals and other health care services map the direct cost of individual department operations to their revenue.

The company has been growing through acquisitions and licensing agreements.

In January, the company acquired St. Louis-based Unibased Systems Architecture Inc. for about $6.5 million Unibased provides software that helps health care organizations manage their resources, including patient scheduling and surgery management.

The deal with CentraMed is expected to close this month.
