The Atlanta-based law firm Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP has named Henry Walker as chair, replacing Paul Aguggia, who will remain a partner until the end of the year, the firm said Thursday.

Kilpatrick also said Susan Spaeth will serve as managing partner, the position held by Walker before he was elevated.

Aguggia is leaving the firm to join Clifton Savings Bancorp Inc. as chairman, president and chief executive officer.

The firm said Walker, first named a partner in 1994 and again in 2007 after rejoining the firm from BellSouth Corp., has been managing partner since June 2012. The firm said he has been associated with Kilpatrick either as an attorney or as a client for nearly 30 years.

Spaeth has been associated with Kilpatrick for almost 25 years. She is based in Silicon Valley in California and specializes in intellectual property and complex/technical litigation.
