The letter came from OfficeMax but they say they are not responsible.
The actual address label said;
- Mike Seay
- Daughter Killed In Car Crash
- Or Current Business
The manager from the store where the package called the incident "impossible," yet the label is proof it happened.
NBC Chicago reports OfficeMax now says a mailing list company made the error.
"We have reached out to the third-party mailing list provider to research what happened," OfficeMax claimed
"Based on a preliminary investigation today we believe this to be an inadvertent error, and we are continuing the investigation."
Besides being heartbroken when he saw the label, Seay had other questions.
"How much other types of other information do they have if they have that on me, or anyone else? And how do they use that, what do they use that for?" He wondered.
Seay told the Los Angeles Times his family has not received an apology from OfficeMax.
