“Innovations in Oncology: A Nursing Update,” will be sponsored by the Northwest Metro Chapter of the Georgia Nurses Association and the Georgia Northwest Crescent Oncology Nursing Society. The event, which is for nurses with or without oncology experience, will be from 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the WellStar Development Center (2000 South Park Place S.E. in Atlanta). “All Systems Are Go,” Piedmont Fayette Hospital’s 2011 Critical Care Conference, will be from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center (2443 Highway 54 West in Peachtree City). The conference will include expert speakers in neurology, cardiology, pulmonary issues, surgery, infectious disease, gastroenterology, palliative care and nursing development. The keynote speaker will be Liz Jazweic, author of “Eat That Cookie! How Workplace Positivity Pays Off... For Individuals, Teams and Organizations.” Breakfast and lunch will be served.
