Number of working days left until the end of the 2015 session: Five.
The biggest news of the day could come out of the House when word officially comes that it has agreed to a Senate-passed, amended version of HB 1, the medical marijuana bill.
In the Senate, the bills to watch among the eight on the calendar are HB 515 and HB 520, which together would create the new cities of Tucker and LaVista Hills in DeKalb County. Changes have been made, so a House-Senate conference committee is possible.
In committees, the Senate Appropriations Committee will take up HB 279 , which would provide raises for judges, and Public Safety will hear HB 110,, the fireworks bill.
Also, a special Judiciary subcommittee is expected to meet again Wednesday on SB 129, the religious liberty bill. We expect changes to be made that could please opponents but anger supporters.
