As we reported last week, though admittedly it might have gotten lost in the tumult, Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush will be in the West Paces Ferry Road area this evening for a $2,700-a-head Atlanta fundraiser.

Bush is coming from Columbia, S.C., where the Washington Post reports thusly:

"The symbols were racist," he told workers at a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant here. "If you're trying to lean forward rather than live in the past, you want to eliminate the barriers that create disagreements."

Other than the Buckhead fundraiser, we’re told that Bush has no other meetings here. A quick glance at the host committee will show you the links with Mitt Romney’s 2012 organization;

John Bardis, John and Mary Brock, Fred Cooper, Ada Lee and Pete Correll, Jim Hansberger, Regina and Steve Hennessy, Lila and Doug Hertz, Rick Jackson, David Lefkovits, Robin Loudermilk, Billi and Bernie Marcus, Leslie and former U.S. Sen. Mack Mattingly, Anne and John Parker, Oscar Persons, Larry Powell, Lissa and Spence Pryor, Brian Reynolds, Fran and Joe Rogers, Donna and Jim Stephenson, Mary and Eric Tanenblatt, and Marcia and Billy Ulm.

Here’s the bundling incentive from the invite:

"Those who raise $27,000 will be included in a photo opportunity with Governor Bush prior to the reception and receive an invitation to the July 9-10 retreat in Kennebunkport, Maine."
