Rasmussen Reports, a GOP-leaning outfit, has conducted the first post-primary statewide poll in the U.S. Senate race, and it shows Democrat Michelle Nunn running slightly ahead of two Republicans locked in a July runoff:
In a matchup with businessman David Perdue, Nunn earns 45% support to her GOP rival's 42%. Seven percent (7%) favor another candidate in this contest, and six percent (6%) are undecided.
The poll of 750 voters was conducted Monday and Tuesday. MOE is +/- 4 percentage points.

David Perdue, one of two Republicans in the runoff for U.S. Senate, on Thursday showed up on Fox News with Lou Dobbs. Watch it here:
But here’s part of the exchange:
Perdue: "Well, I do, I think the world of Governor Romney. I think he would have made a great president. I wish he was President Romney right now. I come from a great family. My cousin was governor here for two terms. But the idea that I was a silver-spoon candidate is just not supported by the truth.
"My mother and father were school teachers. We grew up working on our farms. I worked my way through college and, you know, and developed a pretty good career up to become a CEO. You know, that's the American dream. In a Republican primary, I was little surprised to see us turning success into a four-letter word."
Perdue’s rival, Jack Kingston, supported Romney in his 2008 run for president, but backed Newt Gingrich in 2012.
