Snow in metro Atlanta: I-20 shut down in west Georgia

Mark Arum in the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center reported at 8:30 a.m. that I-20 had just been shut down in both directions near the U.S. 27 - Bremen exit because of icing in Carroll County.

A wintry mix of sleet, rain and snow began falling across the northern suburbs around 4 a.m. Tuesday, while snow was reported across the mountain counties. Drivers are urged to check current traffic conditions before leaving home. Read the full story and forecast.
