A Michigan woman could spend 20 years in prison after she gave birth to a son at work, sealed him in a plastic bag and then stuffed him into a drawer, where he suffocated, People reports.

Kimberly Pappas pleaded guilty to second-degree murder earlier this month, according to People, and was sentenced to nine to 20 years in prison.

"The pain and regret I have over this really can't be put into words," she said Monday at her sentencing, according to the Associated Press.

The boy was found at Pappas' desk on March 31, police said, according to the AP.
