It's no secret that we're fans of Nam Phuong , the popular Vietnamese eatery with locations on Buford Highway and Jimmy Carter Boulevard. From the goat curry to the so-good-you'll-think-you've-died-and-gone-to-wing-heaven wings , the restaurant is a favorite.

Now, Nam Phuong owners David and Tina Nguyen are giving us a new reason to get excited -- they'll be opening Ba Bellies, an Asian gastropub concept , this spring along with their partner, Chef Mike Yang. The restaurant will be located in the Peachtree Corners area of Norcross in the former Firenze space at 6025 Peachtree Parkway.

The menu will feature a fusion of Southern and Asian food. Menu highlights for lunch will include shaking beef banh mi, crispy Brussels sprouts with puffed rice and a pignic sandwich made with slow roasted pork shoulder, red onion jam and a Boursin cheese shmear. Dinner will offer larger plates and dishes meant for sharing, including Tonkotsu ramen along with smoky bacon fried rice.

In addition to its full lunch, dinner and brunch menus, Ba Bellies will also offer a full bar including a craft beer program and house cocktailse house cocktails with Asian influences, including the Lychee Moscow Mule, Spiked Iced Chai Tea and Caramelized Pineapple Old Fashioned.

Yang previously worked for New York restaurants including Per Se, Craft and L’atelier by Joel Robuchon. while David Nguyen previously worked at Spice Market by Jean George Vongerichten in Atlanta.

The restaurant plans to serve up lunch on weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; dinner on weekdays from 5:30 to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m.; and weekend brunch from 9 a.m. to 3:30 pm. Happy hour specials will be available as well.
