In case you haven't noticed, Twitter is down for many users.

Users trying to log onto the social media service Tuesday found themselves staring at a blue error page. Service disruptions were reported by users worldwide.

According to downrightnow.com, a site which monitors website service disruptions, the outage started around 4 a.m. EST. As of 6 a.m., Twitter remained down. As of 8:45 a.m. EST, there are still service disruptions.

Around that time, the site announced on its developer page that users were having problems.

“We are aware of the issue and are working towards a solution,” the company said.

Two hours later, Twitter continued to greet users with error messages. It was not clear how long it would take to get the site back to its normal state or what caused the outage.

Twitter last went down for about 10 minutes Monday morning, according to the site. The issue was resolved.
