Tech giant Apple is rolling out a new plan to help sell their Apple Watch: train their employees to give customers fashion advice.

Typically, all Apple employees had to worry about is suggesting the right iPad, iPhone or iPod to match someone's life, now they'll also have to understand personal style.

The idea is to establish trust with a potential buyer, proving that the employee understands the customer's fashion needs, as well as what they want the watch to do.

The approach mimics the way traditional watches are typically sold.

Employees are being instructed to say things like, "you seem to have a fun style. I think the Pink Sport band would match your style perfectly," or "the white strap looks great on you."

The company is looking for the sales process to focus on the watch looking good and being versatile with outfits, as well as ease of use, functionality and being a good financial investment.

"I love how it will coordinate with many of my outfits," Apple expects customers to comment.

"Wow, there's so many options for straps," another customer exclamation they hope for.

The new sales training for the Apple Watches will take place in the next two weeks and use multiple sample personas to help employees understand stylistic wants.

The program will also focus on assisting with gifting and encouraging iPhone upgrades.
