The Georgia World Congress Center Authority today announced a partnership with Channel 2 Action News for a live broadcast of the implosion of the Georgia Dome.

The implosion is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 20.

The GWCCA said there will not be a public viewing area available to watch the implosion “due to the required restricted zone around the Dome and the accompanying road closures.”

“Out of an abundance of caution, we are asking the community for their support in ensuring roadways around the campus are as clear as possible,” Frank Poe, executive director of the GWCCA, said in a news release. “Detour routes around the 220-acre campus will reroute traffic away from the Georgia Dome and out of viewable range.”

In addition to Channel 2 Action News, WSB-TV’s live coverage of the implosion will appear on its website (WSBTV.com), official Facebook page, news app, YouTube page and the WSB-TV app available on Roku, AppleTV and Amazon Fire.

The implosion also will be live-streamed on the official websites of the Falcons, Atlanta United and Mercedes-Benz Stadium and on the Georgia Dome’s  official Facebook page.
