UPDATE: Noon today (Thursday 3/16) is your last chance to be entered in the Mark Bradley Bracket Fiasco. Make your picks now.

How do you prepare for the rituals of the college basketball championship tournaments? In Atlanta, our traditions include trying to beat brackets guru Mark Bradley.

Bradley's Bracket Fiasco returned to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution for its 30th edition on Sunday. Since the NCAA basketball season of 1988, the AJC's sports columnist and basketball aficionado has been putting his brackets out there for anybody who wants to challenge him.

In 1988, Ronald Reagan was president. Bull Durham was a new movie. So Bradley has been doing this for a while.

But all you have to do is focus on winning this year. (And Mark points out he did not pick Kansas in 1988. They won. He didn’t.)

The 2017 brackets are now open. All players have to register and pick their winners before NOON on Thursday, March 16.

This year the AJC’s local winner is eligible for a $500 Kroger gift card. Our contest also enters you in a national event with even more prizes. A perfect bracket could win $1,000,000. And, a not-so-perfect bracket may claim prizes from a PS4 Pro to Fatheads
