A 43-year-old woman in England has been arrested after posting on Facebook that Muslims are banned from her beauty salon following the Paris attacks.

The post appeared on the Facebook page for Blinks of Bicester, stating that the salon would not be taking any more bookings from those of the "Islamic faith."

"Sorry, but time to put my country first," it read.

The post received hundred of messages of criticism, including one from Linda Stubbs, who wrote, "You need a rebranding after your vile comments. I think 'Bigots of Bicester' would be very appropriate."

The Facebook page for Blinks of Bicester has been deleted. The BBC reports that the woman was arrested "on suspicion of displaying written material which was threatening, abusive or insulting with the intention of stirring up racial hatred and for producing malicious communications."

Thames Valley police say the woman has been released on bail.
