It has been one year since a deadly shooting was broadcast on live TV.

WDBJ-TV reporter Alison Parker and photographer Adam Ward were gunned down during a live interview in Roanoke, Virginia, on August 26, 2015.

The shooting and the events that followed shocked the nation, especially the TV news community. In the year since killings, journalists across the nation have come together to reflect and remember Parker and Ward.
