A program examining the history of black Native Americans will be held at a DeKalb County library in October.

The daylong “When Tribes Meet” program will be held Oct. 6 at the Wesley Chapel branch, 2861 Wesley Chapel Road, near Decatur. It features storytelling, book discussions and crafts.

Librarians Mia Buggs and Veronica Winley received a national library award for the effort, which included a $1,000 grant to host the event.

The program is free and open to the public. More information: www.dekalblibrary.org.
