“Dreamers” shouldn’t profit from law-breaking

While I empathize greatly with the “dreamers” around the country. To me, they don’t have a leg to stand on. If they are angry, direct that anger towards their parents that made the decision to bring them here illegally, or have children here as illegal immigrants. They’re the ones that were wrong.

The most important question is this: Why should the children of illegal immigrants benefit and profit from their parents’ illegal acts? If that’s acceptable, then just prior to my death, I’ll rob a bank of millions of dollars and give it to my child. To me that’s more acceptable.

At least it’s an American violating the law, and an American profiting from the illegal act. That’s silly of course. No one should profit from breaking the law!

So, if all these progressive colleges and universities want to harbor criminals, they may as well open their doors to all fugitives from justice. It sounds pretty stupid to me. Especially at places of so-called higher learning.

For some reason, the term spoiled elitist brats comes to mind. My advice to them is grow up and follow the law.

Affordable house in short supply

The terrible fire in Oakland recently is a symptom of a much bigger problem.

Affordable housing for people with limited incomes is becoming increasingly difficult to find. The people living in the building in Oakland were in desperate need of affordable housing and were apparently taken advantage of by landlords. This is being played out in cities all across America because of the loss of low-income housing and people struggling to make a living. Soon-to-be President Trump promised to rebuild inner cities during his campaign. Lets hope that he includes affordable housing and not just luxury buildings bearing his name.
